00:13 So this Uttamottama Seva that we offered everyday here in Nithyanandeshwara Mahasadashiva Devasthanam to Nithyanandeshwara Mahasadashiva Parashiva and Nithyanandeshwari Parashakti, is an intricate ritual that is described by Mahasadashiva himself in the Agamas. It includes so many various offerings that are there, that come from the best of the best of Vedic tradition. From the instruments to the offering of food that should be offered to Sadashiva at that time, to the dance in the various types of dance in the way it should be danced, all these, including the different mantras that should be chanted, taken from different scriptures, taken from different parts of the Hindu subcontinent.

01:04 The Uttamottama Seva is described by Mahasadashiva as the best of the best. Why should we offer the best of the best? When we can cognise ourselves and hold ourselves to be the best, Swamiji had said it once before, he calls it, “I am very simple man. I like the best.” And for us Swamiji is a manifestation of Mahasadashiva himself. When we create, when we offer anything \- we work very hard all our lives to make our best for ourselves, the best for our children. Our deep gratitude or our deep prayer also, the Uttamottama Seva can be offered to Sadashiva as He lives here as the Kalpavriksha, as the one who gives whatever you asked. Whatever you ask, Sadashiva will give and that is the uniqueness of the Sadashiva that lives here in the Nithyanandeshwara Temple.

02:15 Whenever we think of what we have or what we do, why we do \- we think it should be the best for ourselves and should be the best for our family and children. In the same way, we should think and we should move in deep devotion to offer the best for Sadashiva. And the various offerings are all there described by Him. Offering these sevas raises our Consciousness to live and celebrate the rich tradition that Swamiji is reviving for us.
